Website Content: Home Feature Hero

1. “Home Feature Hero” This is your Page Greeting – This is the first thing a visitor will see when logging on to your site.

In order to add the content sections you are going to use widgets. Your widgets are found in the left side bar under “Appearance” and “Widgets.”

The first widget to edit is your ‘Home Feature Hero.’ This can be found in the right column on your available widgets section.

In order to edit your Home Feature Hero, drag the ‘text’ widget from the left column directly into the ‘Home Feature Hero’ widget.

1a. We suggest that you don’t use the title section of the text box – put all text directly into the body section. This is also where you will add your page headers & a button (if you’d like) to enter to a specific part of your website. You will need to use some simple HTML here to create your header & button. See our HTML basics for some tips & tricks for creating your website greeting.

One thing you’ll notice in here is a class of “animated FadeInUp.” This allows you to easily add some simple animation to your site that provides a really nice feel. If you want to try other animations out check out AnimateCSS.

Add your greeting, save your changes & review your page.
